What is the Best Qtel ADSL Service

1- If you want it only for browsing then get the [512KB] it is more than enough for browsing.
2- If you want it for browsing and watching online videos, download some stuff from here and there get the [1MB].
3- If you are using the torrents to download movies, music and can't live your day if you did not download something, then get the [2MB].

The speed difference can be noticed when you start downloading from a static IP or a direct download. The range goes like:
1- [512KB] up to 80 if you were lucky, most of the time between 60 and 70]
2- [1MB] up to 120 but most of the time the range is from 90 - 110.
3- [2MB] up to 200 but most of the time the range is from 140 - 180.

You should notice the download speed varies according also to the upload speed [especially torrent files], if you start for example downloading 3 torrents in the same file and one of them was having an upload rate of your maximum connection speed that can support. You will find that the other 2 would not even start because you reached the maximum upload speed. Try stopping that one that it is taking most of your bandwidth to upload and you will see the others go fast. It is irrelevant to the speed in most of the cases [download speed of the torrent], but it would be obviously depending on your connection speed as everyone got it's own support for the Max. download and upload speed. What I mean is a bad torrent [depends on trackers, leechers and seeders] would always be a bad one, no matter what connection do you have.

Qtel 's Mozaic

Qtel gives the Wireless Modem and TV tuner equipment.
The remote is a programmable remote so you can set your Tv and DVD's remote in that - one remote for all 3.Internet speed is good for 512 kpbs.
Cons: The internet access is only wireless, there is no wired (ethernet) connection, there is ports but Qtel disable it.Qtel wont give the administrator password for the router, which has 2 Voip ports 3 free Ethernet ports for setting up.
Basic Asia (English, Basic Package) Tv Channel package is not a good bundle, more than half is useless channels, if you need to add more channels, still the combinations are not so good for 1 useful channel you will have to take another 4 useless channels.
I am not sure about the Arabic Channel bundles.

Dual core is simply a generic term referring to any processor package with two physical CPUs in one.

The Pentium D is simply two Pentium 4 Prescott cpus inefficiently paired together and ran as dual core.

The Core Duo is Intel's first generation dual core processor based upon the Pentium M (a Pentium III-4 hybrid) made mostly for laptops (though a few motherboard manufacturers have released desktop boards supporting the Core Duo CPU), and is much more efficiently than Pentium D.

The Core 2 Duo is Intel's second generation (hence, Core 2) processor made for desktops and laptops designed from the ground up to be fast while not consuming nearly as much power as previous CPUs.

Another main advantage for the Core 2 Duo is that it's 64-bit organized while those before are 32-bit.


The Pentium D, Core Duo, Core 2 Duo and Athlon X2 are all current CPUs that have dual cores in one package.

Note - Intel has dropped the Pentium name in favor of the Core architecture
